UK Modern Slavery Act
The United Kingdom Modern Slavery Act of 2015 requires businesses to publish an annual statement specifying the efforts taken to help prevent slavery and human trafficking in their own business or their supply chain. This statement covers KOSO Holdings Co., Ltd. and its affiliates Rexa, Inc. and KOSO Kent Introl Limited (collectively, “KOSO”).
Organisational structure, policies and supply chains
The principal activities of KOSO are the provision of manufactured goods and services relating to the supply of automatic process control valves and surface chokes products to the Oil & Gas industry, both onshore and offshore, topside and subsea, as well as related industries, chemical, petrochemical, power and general process industries. The scope of supply includes all facets of sale, design, manufacture and test as well as service and support.
The business operates in an “Engineered to Order” environment where it uses its expertise in valve technology and industry driven specifications to meet the clients need for a fit for purpose technical solution delivered on time, at a favourable cost.
Our employees and suppliers are some of our most valued partners. We operate strict policies with regard to Ethics, Anti-bribery and Corruption and Whistle-blowing which apply to our workforce globally and describe how integrity without compromise is our core value. These policies reinforce KOSO’s commitment to a safe, ethical and inclusive work environment and provide important information about our values and applicable laws and regulations.
We expect our strategic partners to live by our values as well. We work with our suppliers to obtain high quality goods and services at the best value. We set clear expectations with our suppliers and all key suppliers are audited prior to being added to our approved vendor list.
In the event we were to become aware of any policy violations or behaviours related to slavery and human trafficking, a full inquiry would be undertaken to determine what further actions were required, if any.
Our Approach
KOSO takes the following approach to help prevent forced labour, slavery and human trafficking.
Diligence
- KOSO carefully selects the suppliers it wants to partner with, and audits “tier 1” suppliers prior to placing any purchase orders. We also hold annual business reviews with our key suppliers.
- KOSO uses sales agents in various regions of the world. We form close relationships with all our agents and promote open communication lines. All “tier 1” agents are audited for compliance purposes.
Risk Management
- We have a Whistle-blowing policy which we expect all employees to adhere to and which also allows them to raise issues to the Board of Directors in a safe environment and in the knowledge that issues raised will be addressed.
Training
- KOSO conducts employee training on workplace safety and our code of ethics from time to time. We also expect our suppliers to communicate the principles throughout their organisations.
Board approval
